![]() So, it should not be surprising that the Gram 15 is beaten by laptops with the Core i5-1135G7 and the Core i7-1165G7 in Cinebench R20 and R23. Case in point, the MSI Summit B15 is up to 40% faster than the Gram 15 under load. The MSI Summit B15, which has a beefier cooling solution and higher PL1 and PL2, shows what the Core i7-1165G7 is capable of. When comparing the Gram 15 to the competition, we see that the Samsung Galaxy Book Ion Aura Silver with the older Core i7-10510U performs better under load. The Gram 16's CPU also did not perform as well as it should, but the level of performance did not deviate so much from the norm. This seems to be characteristic of LG laptops in general. #Lg g3 battery spy fullUnder full load, the power consumption fluctuates between 10 and 20 W, with rare peaks of 25 W.Īll in all, the Core i7-1165G7 in the LG Gram 15 performs 28% worse than an average Core i7-1165G7. In our Cinebench 15 loop, the power draw peaked at 40 W for a few moments and then dropped to about 20 W. The Gram 15's GPU is not meant for continuous loads, though. All in all, these power levels allow apps to start quickly and the system to feel very responsive in day-to-day use. However, the CPU can maintain this power level only for a short period of time. LG set Power Level One (PL1) to 25 W, which is what we saw in our testing. The Core i7-1165G7 (Tiger Lake, UP3) is one of the fastest 28-W CPUs. ![]()
